Oak

Oak is a strong, open grained American classic. The mainstay of the cabinet and furniture industry, oak offers a richness in color from pink to white and light brown. In addition, green, yellow and even black color veins may appear as mineral streaks. These color variations are due to mineral deposits that leaked into the pores of the wood during its growing process.

Oak is also known for its wide and narrow grain features. Sometimes classified as "wild", these grain patterns are considered desirable qualities of oak.
