Hickory

Hickory is a dramatic grained wood that has a bold character all its own. Known for its wide variation in color, hickory can range in color from white to dark brown with wormholes and black knots. These features may be found in a single piece of wood, which contributes to each cabinet component's varied appearance.

A clear or light stain will maximize the color contrast to achieve a dramatic effect. Darker stain selections may minimize this effect but will never eliminate the distinguishing characteristics of hickory.
